National El Trovador (2008) - Full Body Sunburst

This is a pre-owned El Trovador from National guitars.  The guitar has a full body sunburst and excellent playability, with action that is amenable to finger fretting as well as slide playing.  It has recently been serviced by National Guitars. There is some tarnishing on the resonator cover plate as is normal from aging.  The El Trovador model, designed in collaboration with Mike Dowling and based on his guitar from the 1930's, is unique in that it has a long scale length which allows for the use of lighter string gauges, a more comfortable nut width of 1 3/4", and an increased body depth of 4" which gives it a warm, deep and rich tonality.  The richness that comes from this instrument is truly unique among resonators and makes this guitar a great choice for all kinds of music, not just blues (at which it also excels).
