Kopp K-35 (2014) - Adirondack/Mahogany
This is a pre-owned Kopp K-35 from luthier Kevin Kopp out of Boseman, Montana. The responsiveness of this guitar is out of this world good - DEEP and satisfying bass, musical throughout all registers. This is a special instrument, well suited for everything from thumpy blues picking, to rock and roll power strumming, to jazz comping and anything else in between. It sounds just like you'd expect the very best vintage slope shoulder to sound - dry but warm, fundamental, woody, loud and oh so musical. The hand rubbed sunburst finish is unique and beautiful, with a depth to it that draws you in. The old 1960's mahogany and strikingly grained Adirondack top add to the appeal.
This guitar has signs of use, including a couple of noticeable scratches in the finish on the soundboard that do not reach the wood. The neck angle and saddle are in fine shape, and there is minor wear evident in the frets which do not need to be addressed for awhile yet. The K&K mini pickup sounds terrific plugged in, making this a great stage guitar.
