Lowden O-25 (2000) - Cedar/East Indian Rosewood

Lowden guitars have such a unique and beautiful tone - there really is nothing else that sounds quite like them.  This especially holds true, in my opinion, with their O series guitars which are big, bold, deep, lush and full of wonderful overtones. The cedar in this instrument provides a quick, immediate response, and the rosewood provides richness and depth.  This pre-owned instrument was very well taken care of by one owner for its first 20 years.  There are a couple of pin sized marks on the soundboard which one has to search to find.  The playability is excellent, and Lowden's 5 piece neck is very comfortable.  The responsiveness of this guitar works wonderfully for finger style pieces, and in my opinion excels in dropped tunings, though it has no problems with standard tuning or with a flat pick.  This is a handsome and versatile instrument.
