Santa Cruz OM Grand (2015) - Torrified Sitka Spruce/East Indian Rosewood

This is a pre-owned Santa Cruz OM Grand guitar.  This model, similar in size and shape to what other makers might call a 0000 or a small jumbo, is the "big sister" to the popular OM model.  I consider it to be an excellent mid point between OM and dreadnought, though it doesn't sound exactly like either - its deep and satisfying bass response is similar to the dreadnought, but it has more of the OM's balance and responsiveness.  Compared to an OM, it has a slightly deeper and louder voice, requiring less effort to project volume.  In lowered tunings, it sounds absolutely thunderous!  This guitar has a beautifully silked torrified sitka top to go with its straight East Indian rosewood back and sides.  The K&K pure mini pickup sounds rich and natural and makes this instrument stage ready.  It has been played, and there are signs of this with several small scratches and dings evident, which are all cosmetic and do not affect play.  There is some fret wear but plenty of time left before a refretting is needed.  The neck angle and saddle are in excellent shape, and the soft V neck is very comfortable.
