November 5th - We Welcome Richard Hoover and James Nash in store - Please come!

Hello friends!  We opened the doors to our new Santa Ana shop in August and have enjoyed spreading the word and welcoming folks to visit us and play some world class instruments.  Already we have made new friends.  I continue to marvel at the talent levels displayed by our customers - there have been some exceptional players here!

Now I’d like to spread the word about an in store event set to take place on Saturday, November 5th.  As part of our Grand Opening Celebration day, we will welcome Richard Hoover, founder of the Santa Cruz Guitar Company, and James Nash, one of the greatest guitar players/performers/songwriters/band leaders who you will ever see, to our shop.

At 3:00 pm, Richard will give a talk and question/answer session here in the store.  James will join Richard on our stage and will demonstrate Santa Cruz guitars and share some of his music.

Richard Hoover has dedicated his career to advancing the art and science of fine acoustic guitar building.  He is a fascinating speaker with a wealth of accumulated knowledge that he has graciously offered to share with us.  He and his company build some of the most wonderful instruments anywhere, at any price point.  We are so honored to welcome him here!

James Nash is well known for his work with his bands, The Waybacks, The Nomads and The NashVillains, as well as other solo and ensemble work and instructional videos.  Equally at home playing jazz, Americana, rock and roll, and really any genre of music, he has played with a who’s who of famous musicians during his career.  Guitar Player magazine, in their July 2017 issue, honored him as one of “50 of the best acoustic guitarists of all time”.

Aside from being so highly accomplished, each of these gentleman is also gracious, generous and approachable - just wonderful people!

This event is open to our customers and friends - please let us know if you would like to attend.  Admission is free and seating will be somewhat limited.  We will provide refreshments and will raffle off some very nice guitar related things throughout the course of the day.  You will have a chance to meet Richard and James, and to see our shop and play some wonderful guitars.

We look forward to meeting more of you!
