Your eyes do not deceive you! This is a James Olson dreadnought, with cutaway, built in 1989 and in wonderful playing shape. It is not easy to find an Olson dreadnought for sale! This one has a Sitka top and Mahogany body and a spectacular, gorgeous tone with plenty of bass and great clarity, plus nice warmth in the higher notes. It is extremely playable, with low action and an excellent neck angle, plenty of saddle available. The guitar is so responsive, it requires very little energy to produce excellent volume. It really has to be played to be believed! Cosmetically, the guitar has only a few minor issues, including a bit of finish "dulling" on the soundboard where the right forearm rests and next to the soundhole, very minor nicks and scratches on the soundboard and the back and the headstock. There are no cracks or loose braces. The guitar is in very good cosmetic shape and excellent playing shape. The original hard shell case in in good structural shape, with some spotted stains cosmetically which do not affect the structural integrity.
