Just in, for sale on consignment, is this incredibly cool 12 fret to the body dreadnought from Martin! The Ditson 111 model is essentially a reproduction of the very first dreadnought guitars designed by Martin and built for the Oliver Ditson Department stores. It is a very unique offering by Martin, built in limited numbers between 2006 and 2008, with Golden Era type forward shifted bracing. This guitar has a truss rod. The string spacing is generously wide with a nut width of 1 7/8", making this huge guitar a wonderful fingerstyle instrument as well as a great flatpicker. Huge, warm sound from this unique and super cool instrument, which is in very good condition!
The neck angle is fine, with good, playable action and plenty of remaining saddle. There is minor fret wear, but plenty of life left in those frets. There are a few scratches to note, the deepest next to the upper binding in the rear of the upper bout, with minor scratches in the body, the headstock and the soundboard. None of the scratches penetrate completely through the finish.
