Straight from the January 2025 NAMM show, this showcase instrument from Singapore luthier Hozen is a work of art as well as a tremendously playable and wonderful sounding modern guitar! Hozen hand tunes all of his guitar tops, and has learned from a master of modern guitar design, Ervin Somogyi. The woods are a Golden (torrefied) Adirondack top and a very impressive set of Madagascar Rosewood. This guitar has a Manzer wedge and forearm and body bevels which make it so comfortable to hold and play. There is a very effective soundport, adding to the playing pleasure. The tone is full, deep, rich and full of overtones. Plus, lots of volume, both with a pick and with bare fingers or fingernails. It comes with a beautiful custom polycarbonate, blue leather bounded hard shell case. (see photo).
