Just in, another stellar dreadnought from Huss and Dalton! This is the D-RH model: Dreadnought-Rosewood-Herringbone. This model has a radiused top, which helps balance the midrange tones sometimes missing in action on dreadnoughts. This is a wonderful sounding rosewood dreadnought, with plenty of power but more balance and warmth than you might expect. It was customized with a thermo-cured Sitka top. Here is H&D's description:
"The D-RH is a dreadnought brought up to date with a radiused top and the red spruce bracing found in all H&Ds. The radiused top brings a boost to the mid-range for a more balanced tonal palette . It was clearly designed with the flat picker in mind, but with enough dynamic range to be enjoyed by the finger-stylist. Indian rosewood back and sides with a Sitka spruce top are standard. The elegance of curly maple binding and fine herringbone top purfling belies the D-RH’s willingness to rip it up on stage."
